Online Drop-in Mindfulness class for expecting & new mums

Drop-in Mindfulness classes for expecting and new mums every Wednesday evening 7 - 8:15 pm

Becoming a parent has been the most challenging but also the most rewarding adventure I have ever done. Practising mindfulness has helped me with some of the hurdles but has also made me appreciate and cherish the lovely moments with my two boys. This is why I want to bring those skills to anyone who is expecting a baby, be first, second or third, and those who have recently had a baby as I believe learning the mindfulness skills can help you:

  • Ease anxiety, depression, stress and irritability

  • Improve the relationship with your loved ones

  • Improve sleep and overall quality of your Life

  • Reduce the impact of chronic pain

  • Improve memory and creativity

Everything is changing when you become a mum and this could naturally trigger some anxiety and tension between you and your loved one. Our brains don’t like change and as a result, we get flooded with so many “What If” questions and the worry if we are going to do it right or how we are going to cope. These are all normal things and practising regularly mindfulness will teach you how to let go of those thoughts and in a way change your relationship with your thoughts. It will help you become more kind and compassionate towards yourself and others, and also bring more awareness and gratitude to those lovely moments you are about to experience with your little one.

During this drop-in mindfulness class, which is specially tailored to expecting & new mums, I will lead different meditations every week and teach you key mindfulness concepts, but most importantly it will provide the opportunity to share with the other mums what you are going through if you wish to, and build new connections.

The class costs £10 per session, which will be held online via Zoom weekly on Wednesday evenings. There is no commitment to how many times you need to attend, but you might find coming regularly will benefit you more. Mindfulness is a skill, and like any new skill, it takes time but even 5 min of practice is much better than not practising at all.
